Deshaun Watson will be able to practice with Browns soon

The Cleveland Browns got back on the right track after breezing past the red-hot Cincinnati Bengals on Monday night.

The Browns heading toward even better news, with star quarterback Deshaun Watson on track to return on Dec. 4 against the Houston Texans. Watson is serving his 11-game suspension to begin the 2022 season due to violating the league’s personal conduct policy by committing sexual assault on massage therapists.

Although Watson won’t be able to play for roughly another month, he has been allowed to partake in team meetings since Oct. 10. The Pro Bowl quarterback can begin to take part in practices starting on Nov. 14.

General manager Andrew Berry spoke highly of Watson, praising the 27-year-old’s commitment to getting ready to play this season.

“It’s been great to have him back in the building,” Berry said via ESPN. “He’s been focused on working on himself, he’s stayed in great shape, he’s been a part of the meetings. He’s done everything and more that’s been asked of him. We’ll be excited to have him when he can continue to ramp up football activities and get back on the practice field.”

The Browns have tried to stay around playoff contention with Watson out but have struggled to find any consistency. The team holds a 3-5 record through the first eight weeks.
