Dez Bryant leaves workout with Ravens without a deal

Ever since his sudden departure from the Dallas Cowboys, three-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Dez Bryant hasn’t had much luck reinventing himself elsewhere in the NFL. He did get an opportunity to start fresh with the New Orleans Saints after signing a deal with the team in November of 2018, but a torn Achilles tendon that he suffered in his first practice with the team ended any hope of a career reboot.

In 2020, Bryant is attempting to make a comeback and it starts with the team that he declined a multi-year offer from back in 2018. Dez worked out with the up-and-coming Baltimore Ravens on Thursday, but unfortunately, left the workout still unemployed, according to ESPN.

Dez Bryant left his tryout with the Baltimore Ravens without a deal, a source said Thursday.

It’s possible the Ravens could add Bryant at some point, but the source said nothing is imminent with the three-time Pro Bowl wide receiver.

With the Ravens seemingly passing or at least not totally sold on signing Bryant after the workout, it remains to be seen what the immediate future holds for the veteran wide receiver.

Although many believed Bryant still had something left in the tank after the Cowboys parted ways with him, that was two years ago and prior to an Achilles injury that tends to end the careers of many professional athletes that depend on explosiveness to be successful.

There’s still a chance that Bryant lands somewhere for the 2020 NFL season, but Baltimore passing isn’t a good sign moving forward.
