Disgruntled RB Jonathan Taylor set to return to Colts training camp

Things have gotten ugly between star running backs and their teams this year. Players like Jonathan Taylor no longer sees eye-to-eye with the Indianapolis Colts because contract talks have not gone as planned.

Taylor is the latest in a long line of disgruntled running backs in the NFL right now. That list also includes Josh Jacobs and Saquon Barkley.

Barkley recently signed a one-year deal with the New York Giants. However, he hasn’t been happy about not being able to secure his long-term future with the team. The franchise has been reluctant to ink him to a deal longer than one year.

As for Taylor, the superstar running back has stayed away from training camp after recently asking to be traded, which team owner Jim Irsay has let be known that he doesn’t intend to do.

Even though Taylor is still upset with his situation in Indianapolis, he will be returning to training camp, according to ESPN.

All-Pro running back Jonathan Taylor, who remains at odds with the Indianapolis Colts over his contract situation, is expected to return to training camp this week, according to coach Shane Steichen.

According to Colts head coach Shan Steichen, Taylor is expected back this week.

“He should be back this week,” Steichen said. “Do I know the exact date he’ll be back? No, but he should be back.”

It’ll be interesting to see where things go from here and if Taylor remains adamant about getting traded or if the team can work on a new deal for the star running back.
