Eagles QB Nick Foles could earn up to $500k for every game played in 2018
Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Nick Foles has positioned himself in arguably the best spot of his NFL career. His good fortune comes after helping lead the franchise to their first Super Bowl win back in February.
This also led to him earning a much-deserved reworked contract earlier this offseason that gave him a pay raise along with leaving the option to test the free-agent market next offseason. According to Field Yates of ESPN, Foles could potentially earn $500,000 per game in the 2018 season if he meets a couple of key criteria in his deal.

Nick Foles will make $250,000 for each game in which he plays one-third of the snaps as part of his restructured deal with the Philadelphia Eagles, a league source told ESPN.
In addition, Foles can earn an additional $250,000 for each game in which he plays at least 33 percent of the snaps and the team wins. This amounts to a maximum value of $8 million, according to a league source.
Much of this will depend on the health of Pro Bowl quarterback Carson Wentz. Wentz is still recovering from an ACL and LCL tear he sustained last December. He is currently aiming to be ready by the 2018 season opener. Wentz has continued to make progress, but there is no guarantee that he will be able to reach that target.

If he’s unable to take the field, Foles would be in line to be the starter. Then, he could earn that additional salary in his restructured deal that has $14 million in incentives. He could also earn a maximum of another $4 million in the playoffs. Each of those same regular season prerequisites apply in the postseason.
Regardless of what unfolds over the 2018 season, Foles has put himself in a unique position where he could prosper once again on and off the field.
