Eagles sign former Chiefs WR Hollywood Brown

The Philadelphia Eagles haven’t made a ton of noise during NFL free agency, but that changed on Tuesday, with the team bringing in veteran wide receiver Hollywood Brown, formerly of the Kansas City Chiefs.

According to Tim McManus of ESPN, the Eagles have signed Brown to a one-year deal.

The Eagles and receiver Hollywood Brown agreed to terms on a one-year deal worth up to $6.5 million, a league source confirmed to ESPN on Tuesday.

Brown spent the last two seasons with the Chiefs, playing in only two games in 2024 due to injury, then seeing the field 16 times in 2025, starting in only six of those games.

During last season, Brown racked up 49 catches for 587 receiving yards and five touchdowns.

He’ll likely have the role as the No. 3 receiver in Philadelphia behind stars A.J. Brown, if he’s not traded, and DeVonta Smith.

A speed receiver who can stretch the field, Brown is expected to fill the role occupied the past two seasons by Jahan Dotson, who left for the Atlanta Falcons in free agency last week. Brown, 28, has the stronger overall résumé of the two, highlighted by a 1,000-yard campaign in 2021. Last year, he caught 49 passes for 587 yards and five scores for the undermanned Chiefs. It’s unlikely he would see that level of volume in Philly as the projected No. 3 behind DeVonta Smith and A.J. Brown.

If Brown can stay healthy and the Eagles decide not to part ways with A.J. Brown, the team could have one of the most talented receiving corps in the NFL in 2026.
