Eagles star Jalen Hurts vow to improve after Super Bowl loss

The Philadelphia Eagles came up just short of earning the second Super Bowl win in franchise history.

Star quarterback Jalen Hurts served as a driving force toward leading the Eagles to the doorstep of a championship. Since the loss, Hurts has embraced the learning experience from the Super Bowl run, eyeing even more ahead in his fourth season.

“I’m going into Year 4 hungrier than ever, starving for more,” Hurts said via ESPN. “and I just want to challenge myself to be the best quarterback, leader, man I can be for my teammates and this city and impact the people around me the right way so maybe the next time around we can finish it off the way we want to.”

Hurts entered the 2022 campaign with plenty of questions concerning his ability to lead the Eagles to sustained success. He put that talk to bed behind his stellar play that not only guided Philadelphia to nearly win the Super Bowl, but also elevated him toward being entrenched in the MVP discussion before his shoulder injury late in the regular season.

He showed significant improvement in his passing ability while remaining an elite factor in the running game. Hurts shined brightest in the Super Bowl, putting together a performance that could have won him the Super Bowl MVP award had the Eagles edged out the Kansas City Chiefs.
