The Philadelphia Eagles are coming off a disappointing loss on the road in Week 2 action against the Atlanta Falcons. The game culminated in them falling in the waning moments of the fourth quarter.

It was a game that saw them lose several notable players to injuries in the contest. As a result, it puts question marks on their availability moving forward this season. The Eagles lost star wide receiver DeSean Jackon and Alshon Jeffrey to injuries early in the contest against the Falcons, according to Tim McManus of ESPN.

Wide receivers DeSean Jackson (groin) and Alshon Jeffery (calf) both exited in the first half, and tight end Dallas Goedert appeared to tweak his calf in warm-ups and did not play a snap.

The Eagles played primarily without some key pieces of the puzzle through most of the contest. However, they were able to muscle their way back to a late fourth-quarter lead. They were also a play away from sealing the win. Although the Falcons were able to convert a 4th-and-3 to get a game-changing 54-yard touchdown reception with 2:10 left in the quarter.

Philadelphia now moves forward with question marks on the availability on the status of Jackson and Jeffrey. This puts more pressure on the likes of star tight end Zach Ertz and veteran wide receiver Nelson Agholor to step up in the passing game as more feasible receiving options.

The Eagles will be looking to bounce back in Week 3 against the Detroit Lions, who are coming off edging the Los Angeles Chargers 13-10 this past Sunday for their first win of the season.
