J.J. Watt chose Cardinals because he believes in Kyler Murray
Veteran superstar J.J. Watt sent shockwaves throughout the NFL this week after teasing the entire league and its fans about whether he might be playing next season after being released by the Houston Texans. Watt teased title contenders like the Green Bay Packers, Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Browns, but he ended up reuniting with DeAndre Hopkins with the Arizona Cardinals.
Apparently, star quarterback Kyler Murray had a lot to do with his decision in NFL free agency. Watt claims he believes in the young quarterback and that enough to convince him to sign on the dotted line after playing his entire career with the Texans, via Pro Football Talk.

Murray had an up and down season in his sophomore campaign going from a potential NFL MVP candidate to leader of a team that failed to make the postseason. Although some are skeptical of Murray’s talent and ability to live up to expectations, the Cardinals star showed signs of promise last season, especially with Hopkins now a target downfield.
The support of a decorated veteran could be just what the young quarterback needs. Watt, Murray and Hopkins could be a serious threat next season.
