Jalen Hurts wants Eagles teammates to ‘have that trust’ in him
The Philadelphia Eagles sit in the driver’s seat to secure the top seed in the NFC playoff picture.
Third-year quarterback Jalen Hurts has led the charge with his breakout MVP-caliber campaign. Although things are heading in a promising direction, Hurts is well aware of how the path could head a bumpy road toward the ultimate goal of winning a Super Bowl.
“I want those guys to look me in the eyes and know there’s not a doubt,†Hurts said, via Martin Frank of the Delaware News Journal. “And to know that with the preparation we put in together that we’ll find a way. I want them to have that trust in me.â€
Hurt is moving through his best NFL season, but he remains largely inexperienced when it comes to high-pressure moments. He led the Eagles to the playoffs last year, but that resulted in a wildcard-round exit.
His maturation as a quarterback, combined with his calm and level-headed demeanor, will need to be a must in the playoffs. Philadelphia is depending on him to be the leading factor with his arm and legs to push the franchise toward Super Bowl contention.

The outside doubt will remain as long as he hasn’t achieved any significant success beyond the regular season. At the same time, he has a golden opportunity to not only showcase his talent but prove that he can be the game-changing factor and franchise cornerstone for the Eagles, which leads them to sustained championship contention year in and year out moving ahead.
