Jerry Jones: Cowboys signing Odell Beckham Jr. is still ‘alive’
Over the last couple of weeks, the dialogue around Odell Beckham Jr.’s NFL free agency decision has dwindled. Beckham has quieted the chatter a bit by voicing that he doesn’t have any interest in playing until the playoffs with a team this season. The Dallas Cowboys then made the intriguing move to add former Pro Bowl wideout T.Y. Hilton to strengthen their passing game.

Although the optics of the transaction appear that the team is heading in another direction, team owner Jerry Jones recently stated that the Cowboys are still hoping to sign Beckham.
“Very much,†Jones said, via Jori Epstein of Yahoo Sports. “He and I want it to be alive, we all want it to be alive.â€
Beckham doesn’t appear to be in a rush to join a new team, and the Cowboys will be right there waiting to bring him aboard. Dallas has looked every bit the part of a potential Super Bowl-contending team, which fits the bill of what the star wideout wants to join.
Meanwhile, he has spoken to Dak Prescott and Micah Parsons about the possibility. Both have publicly vouched for him to join the team.

Beckham is a game-changing talent that could bring another crucial element to the table to the offense. He is still recovering from a torn ACL he suffered during Super Bowl 56.
It’s a matter of him choosing where he believes he will have the best chance to compete for another Super Bowl. Regardless of Beckham’s decision, the Cowboys will be in the mix to the end.
