Jets rookie QB Sam Darnold expected to be sidelined for Week 10 vs. Bills
The New York Jets may have their franchise quarterback of the future in former USC star, Sam Darnold. Unfortunately, Darnold is coming off one of his worst games as a professional. Against the Dolphins, he threw four interceptions and now has a sprained right foot.
As a result, the rookie quarterback will likely be sidelined for Week 10’s matchup against divisional rivals the Buffalo Bills. The Jets may have to look to Josh McCown to fill the void with Darnold being week-to-week with his foot injury, according to Rich Cimini of ESPN.

New York Jets quarterback Sam Darnold is not expected to play Sunday after spraining his right foot last Sunday against the Miami Dolphins, according to a league source.
It has been an up and down rookie campaign for Darnold. The Jets selected the USC product with the third overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. The Cleveland Browns decided to go with Baker Mayfield as their quarterback of choice. Meanwhile, the New York Giants passing on the position altogether by selecting running back Saquon Barkley at No. 2.

In nine games with nine starts to his credit, Darnold has passed for 1,934 yards, 11 touchdowns, and 14 interceptions. After coming out of the gates strong, the rookie gunslinger has struggled as of late, but now will be forced to watch from the sidelines as last year’s starter takes over for the time being.
McCown has yet to play a down this season, but he is coming off a career year and could provide a spark for the Jets as they try to take down the lowly Bills.
