Myles Garrett makes bold statement about him and Micah Parsons
The Cleveland Browns may be a team in an unusual phase right now, with a shaky quarterback situation and seemingly no clear direction moving forward, but there’s no doubt they have a generational talent at defensive end in superstar Myles Garrett.

Even though the Green Bay Packers are in a totally different situation as a potential Super Bowl title contender, the same can be said about recently acquired superstar linebacker Micah Parsons. Garrett feels that the two superstars are one in the same in terms of being some of the best defensive players of their generation, according to Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.
“I think we’re two of the very best,” Garrett said. “I think we’re two of the very best in this generation, so just got to continue to lead the way. There are definitely some other names in that conversation, but I think saying that he’s in it and that I’m in it is not out of the norm.”
Garrett is clearly a fan of Parsons and cheered on the Packers acquiring and paying the 26-year-old perennial Pro Bowler.
“Holy s—, he did it,” Garrett said of his reaction when Parsons was traded and received a record-setting extension. “Now, I remember him talking about … [we] were sitting in the sauna during the offseason. He’s like, ‘If I get a deal, I’m going to beat the blank out of your deal.’ And he went out there and got it.”
There’s no question that when it is all said and done, for these two superstars, their next accomplishment will be induction into the Hall of Fame. The question is what they can accomplish for the rest of their playing careers and whether one or both will lift that elusive Vince Lombardi Trophy.
