NFC East Odds for Week 15; Steelers at Cowboys a Pick ’em
We have some huge games today in the NFC East. One has already been played. On Thursday night the Cincinnati Bengals beat the Philadelphia Eagles 34-13 to improve to 8-6 and put the pressure on the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers will visit the Dallas Cowboys today with a chance to tie the Bengals for the second AFC Wild Card spot before their meeting next week. A Steelers win in both games would just about assure them a playoff spot. The Cowboys really need this game as well. They are a game behind in the NFC East and also a game behind for the second wild card in the NFC.
The Washington Redskins are also a game out in both the NFC East and the wild card. They will be without their quarterback Robert Griffin III when they take on the Cleveland Browns on Sunday. Rookie quarterback Kirk Cousins will get an opportunity to show what he can do and perhaps audition for a starting job somewhere else in the future. The Browns have been getting better recently with their own rookie quarterback Brandon Weeden.
In what might be a game we’ll see again in the playoffs, the division leading New York Giants face the NFC South leading Atlanta Falcons. This game will feature two of the game’s best passing attacks with Eli Manning going against Matt Ryan. Atlanta has their division already wrapped up but they are trying to secure a first round bye. They lost a week ago and are trying to get back on the winning side before the playoffs start. The Giants are still trying to get into the playoffs and a loss could be very damaging to that effort.
Bookmaker has the odds for this week’s games:
New York Giants at Atlanta Falcons- The Giants are +1.5 -110 or +105. The Falcons are -1.5 -110 or -125. Over/under is 50. We like the Giants +105 and the over.
Washington Redskins at Cleveland Browns- Redskins are +3.5 -110 or +165. The Browns are -3.5 -110 or -195. Over/under is 40. We’ll take the Redskins +3.5 and the over.
Pittsburgh Steelers at Dallas Cowboys- This is a pick’em game. Both teams are -110. Over/under is 45.5. We will go with the Cowboys and the under.
