NFC East Picks for Week 13
The New York Giants will visit the Washington Redskins on Monday Night Football in the most important NFC East Game this week. No matter who wins, the Giants will come out in first place in the division with four games to go. a win and they are a virtual lock to repeat as division champs, especially if the Dallas Cowboys lose this week to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. That’s not likely to happen, but you never know. Dallas has certainly been know to lose to teams they shouldn’t lose to.
When the schedules came out for this season, this weekend looked to be huge for the NFC East with the Cowboys at the Eagles and Redskins at the Giants. But the Eagles have tanked. They sit at 3-8 and will likely be coach shopping soon. Quarterback Michael Vick may be on his way out of town as well as rookie Nick Foles has taken over that spot. If there was a team we thought might be 3-8 at this point it would have been the Redskins with a rookie quarterback starting for them. But Robert Griffin III has been fantastic and the Redskins find themselves still in the race at 5-6, tied for second with the Cowboys, who most probably would have though would be a game or two better than that. One of those games was last Thursday when RGIII and the Redskins rolled them on their traditional Thanksgiving Day game.
The Giants are back on track after a tough stretch. They sit at 7-4, two games in front of the pack after whipping the Green Bay Packers 38-10 last week. The Giants showed why they are the defending Super Bowl Champions that night, racing out to a 31-10 halftime lead over a very tough Packers team.
Eagles at Cowboys- 5Dimes has the Eagles +11 -125 or +425. The Cowboys are -11 +105 or -550. Over/under is 43. We are going to take the Eagles +11. Double digits is tough to pass on in the NFL. The Cowboys will win the game though so feel free to bet the Cowboys -550. We also like the over.
Giants at Redskins– 5Dimes has the Giants at -2 -125 or -147. The Redskins are +2 +105 or +127. Over/under is 51. We like the over in this one too and we like the Giants -2. The Giants are seeing the end of the regular season, which usually mean they are ready to start playing football like they know how.
