NFC East Preview: Redskins at Steelers
The NFC East standings got a bit clearer last week with the New York Giants win over the Washington Redskins. The Giants now lead the division by one and a half games over the Philadelphia Eagles and the Dallas Cowboys and two games over the Redskins. The Giants are 5-2 after their win over the Skins, their first win inside the division this season. They get a shot at their second division win in a row this week when they play the Dallas Cowboys on the road. The two teams met in the season opener in a game won by the Cowboys 24-17 in New York. Dallas sits at 3-3 after a win last week over the Carolina Panthers. The Eagles will hos the unbeaten Atlanta Falcons while the Redskins will take on the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Eagles are tied at 3-3 with the Cowboys while Washington is 3-4.Bad weather is predicted this weekend in the northeast which could mean some ugly football in Philly and Pittsburgh.
Oddsmaker has the odds on the NFC East games this week:
Washington Redskins at Pittsburgh Steelers– Washington is +4.5 -110 or +195. The Steelers are -4.5-110 or -235. Over/under is 47.5. Pittsburgh is really tough at home. We like the Steelers -4.5.
Atlanta Falcons at Philadelphia Eagles- The Falcons are +1 +105. The Eagles are -1 -125. Over/under on the game is 45.5. The Falcons play a lot of close games, and so far they’ve won them all. The Eagles play a lot of close ones too and have won most of them. This game is really a tossup, but the Falcons have showed they know how to win these type games. We like the Falcons -1.
New York Giants at Dallas Cowboys– The Giants look better this year than last year when they went on to win the Super Bowl. They go into Dallas with a score to settle. This can’t be good for the Cowboys. The Giants are -1.5 -115 or -130. The Cowboys are +1.5 +110. Over/under is 47.5. We like the Giants -1.5 in this one.
