NFL power rankings, Week 7: Ravens, Bills run AFC

It’s time to look at NFL power rankings entering Week 7, AFC edition. There’s no question, the Buffalo Bills top the list.

16. Houston Texans (1-5)

The Texans got plastered again on Sunday, losing 31-3. It’s tough seeing them winning another game soon.

15. New York Jets (1-4)

New York just enjoyed its bye week, perhaps the one time hit won’t be an underdog.

14. Jacksonville Jaguars (1-5)

The Jaguars finally snapped their 20-game losing streak dating back to last season. Time to break out the good liquor.

13. Miami Dolphins (1-5)

Yes, Jacksonville beat Miami last weekend, but the Dolphins have the far superior roster. They’re the better team, but not by much.

12. Indianapolis Colts (2-4)

The Colts have a big opportunity to get back into the AFC South race if they can beat the 49ers in Santa Clara this weekend.

11. New England Patriots (2-4)

The Patriots get their second go-round with the Jets. Should be 3-4 and back in the playoff picture.

10. Denver Broncos (3-3)

After beating the Jets, Jaguars and New York Giants, Denver has fallen apart. Now, a Thursday night affair with Cleveland.

9. Pittsburgh Steelers (3-3)

The Steelers head into their bye week at .500. They should be thrilled considering the quarterback play.

8. Cleveland Browns (3-3)

Cleveland has a million injuries to deal with. This game against Denver feels like an absolute must-win.

7. Cincinnati Bengals (4-2)

Cincinnati is one of the surprise teams in the NFL, and has a chance to make a huge statement against the Ravens in Baltimore on Sunday.

6. Kansas City Chiefs (3-3)

The Chiefs have turned the ball over 13 times on offense and punted 10 times. If they hold onto the ball, look out.

5. Las Vegas Raiders (4-2)

The Raiders find themselves in position to take sole possession of first place in the AFC West this weekend, playing against the Philadelphia Eagles.

4. Tennessee Titans (4-2)

Tennessee’s offense is really solid save for the line, but the defense is a mess. Can it do enough against the Chiefs? It did against the Bills.

3. Los Angeles Chargers (4-2)

Los Angeles had to be feeling good before getting plowed 34-6 by the Ravens in Baltimore. Justin Herbert is great, but the defense is atrocious.

2. Buffalo Bills (4-2)

Buffalo gave up some yards and points on Monday night, but the defense is very good and the offense is one of the league’s elite units. The Bills will bounce back.

1. Baltimore Ravens (5-1)

Lamar Jackson might be the NFL MVP through six games. He’s been phenomenal, and the Ravens are leading the AFC North with a chance to extend at home this weekend against the Bengals.
