NFL power rankings, Week 15: Chargers bolt up
In the latest edition of our NFL power rankings of the AFC, the Los Angeles Chargers appear to finally be making their move.
16. Houston Texans (LW: 16)
The Texans have decided to play two quarterbacks going forward, largely because neither is any good.
15. Denver Broncos (LW: 15)
Denver finally broke out offensively and scored 28 points. The problem? They trailed Kansas City 27-0 to start the game.
14. Indianapolis Colts (LW: 14)
Coming off their late bye, the Colts travel on Saturday to take on the Vikings. Spoiler alert?
13. Pittsburgh Steelers (LW: 12)
The Steelers are finished for the year, but they have a trip to Carolina waiting. The Panthers, somehow, are only a game out in the NFC South.

12. Cleveland Browns (LW: 11)
Cleveland has seen two games of Deshaun Watson, and must be wondering what excuse would work to start Jacoby Brissett again.
11. Las Vegas Raiders (LW: 10)
The Raiders had one of the most ridiculous losses you’ll ever see to the Rams on Thursday. Impossible to write, even for Hollywood.
10. Jacksonville Jaguars (LW: 13)
Jacksonville hammered the Titans down in Nashville, and suddenly are only two games out with a rematch at home looming come Week 18.
9. New York Jets (LW: 7)
The Jets’ defense is awesome. The problem is an offense which doesn’t offer much punch most weeks.
8. New England Patriots (LW: 9)
New England beat the Colt McCoy-led Cardinals. Let’s not make more of this than need be.

7. Tennessee Titans (LW: 6)
Tennessee has to figure some things out after getting steamrolled in each of the past two weeks.
6. Miami Dolphins (LW: 4)
The Dolphins are reeling a bit, largely because quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has struggled horribly against the 49ers and Chargers. Now, the Bills on Saturday night in Buffalo.
5. Los Angeles Chargers (LW: 8)
Huge win over the Dolphins, with a sterling defensive performance. The Chargers are now 7-6 with an easy schedule ahead.
4. Baltimore Ravens (LW: 5)
Baltimore won in Pittsburgh chiefly because Mitchell Trubisky couldn’t stop throwing interceptions, but when you’re as banged up as the Ravens are, it’s by any means necessary.
3. Cincinnati Bengals (LW: 3)
Cincinnati has a case for moving up — perhaps to the top — of our NFL power rankings, but the Bengals stay put for now after a ho-hum win over the Browns.
2. Buffalo Bills (LW: 2)
The offense in Buffalo has been a problem for weeks, but the Bills have continued winning and now are four games away from the No. 1 seed in the AFC playoff picture.
1. Kansas City Chiefs (LW: 1)
The Chiefs don’t always make it pretty for their fans, but they won their sixth game in seven weeks, handling the Broncos in Denver.
