NFL power rankings, Week 18: Titans rise up

The NFL power rankings for Week 18 are here, and in the AFC edition, the Tennessee Titans are making their move.

16. Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jaguars are a complete and total mess.

15. Houston Texans

The Texans have been fighting hard, and Davis Mills is intriguing, but Houston has been out of it all year.

14. New York Jets

The Jets almost beat the Buccaneers, and now try to pull off the massive upset in Buffalo against the Bills.

13. Denver Broncos

Denver was 3-0 but since has fallen apart with a tougher schedule, and now tries to beat the Chiefs on Saturday to spoil their playoff seeding.

12. Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers need to rebuild their offense and fix up the defense. Long road ahead for Mike Tomlin and the front office.

11. Cleveland Browns

What once was a season with Super Bowl aspirations has ended in disgrace. Brutal campaign.

10. Baltimore Ravens

Baltimore was 7-2 at one point, and now are 8-8 and simply trying to avoid a losing season by beating the Steelers on Sunday.

9. Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins gave an incredible effort to get back in the playoff picture after starting 1-7, but the dream is dead after losing to the Titans.

8. Las Vegas Raiders

The Raiders have improbably won three straight to give themselves a win-and-in scenario on Sunday night against the Chargers.

7. Indianapolis Colts

By losing to the Raiders, the Colts now have to play hard in Week 18 against the Jaguars instead of being able to rest their starters.

6. Los Angeles Chargers

Because the Chargers lost to the Texans a few weeks ago, they now have to go to Las Vegas and play what amounts to an elimination game.

5. New England Patriots

The Patriots hammered the Jaguars by scoring 50 points, and now they keep remote hope alive to win the AFC East.

4. Cincinnati Bengals

What a game, and what a moment. Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase went wild against the Chiefs, winning 34-31 on a last-second field goal.

3. Buffalo Bills

The Bills took care of business against the Atlanta Falcons despite Josh Allen throwing three interceptions, and now they only need to beat the Jets to take the division.

2. Tennessee Titans

Tennessee beat the Dolphins to eliminate Miami from postseason contention, but more importantly jumped to the No. 1 seed with the Chiefs losing to the Bengals.

1. Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs remain in the top spot because most would agree they’re the AFC’s best team, but losing on Sunday makes their road much tougher.
