NFL teams inquiring about Cardinals’ No. 3 pick in NFL Draft

The 2023 NFL Draft is fast approaching in a few weeks, building up more chatter around the first few selections. The Arizona Cardinals are among those drawing significant attention, as the rumor mill suggests that the team is receiving phone calls about the third overall pick.

As a result Arizona could move the pick to garner more draft capital to fill the roster around Murray. The Cardinals possess eight picks, including two selections in the third round.

The franchise could land a lucrative trade package for third overall pick that could see them add much-needed depth on both sides of the ball. The Cardinals are coming off a disappointing 2022 campaign, where they finished with a 4-13 record.

Arizona has spent the offseason attempting to push the team in the right direction, headlined by firing head coach Kliff Kingsbury and hiring Jonathan Gannon. The organization remains fully committed to Murray as the long-term future under center.

The Cardinals hold the daunting task of playing in one of the league’s toughest divisions. That alone puts significantly more pressure on the front office to construct a roster that can find consistent success.

All of that will push Arizona to explore all options ahead of this year’s draft to better improve the roster ahead of the 2023 season.
