NFL Week 10 schedule: 5 teams on upset alert
With the Miami Dolphins upending the Baltimore Ravens to start the NFL Week 10 schedule, here are five other teams on upset alert.
5. Green Bay Packers
The Packers are likely getting Aaron Rodgers back this weekend at home against the Seattle Seahawks. However, Seattle is coming off a bye week and also sees the return of its starting quarterback in Russell Wilson after missing a month with his finger injury. Seattle is 3-5 and desperate for a win, and could take advantage of a Packers defense without corner Jaire Alexander and edge rusher Za’Darius Smith. Expect this to be close, and perhaps an upset.

4. Buffalo Bills
Buffalo is coming off a humiliating 9-6 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, so surely they wouldn’t lose as a double-digit favorite to the New York Jets this weekend, right? It shouldn’t happen, but the Jets have been very live underdogs against huge spreads at home this year. New York has already covered against and outright beaten the Tennessee Titans and Cincinnati Bengals. Could the Bills, who have been uneven themselves for much of the year, be another victim?
3. Dallas Cowboys
The Cowboys, much like Buffalo, are trying to avoid a second straight upset. This weekend, it’s the Atlanta Falcons visiting Big D, coming in as a heavy underdog. However, Atlanta has been playing decent football at 4-4 and has an offense capable of putting up points with Matt Ryan under center and rookie tight end Kyle Pitts living up to expectations. The Cowboys are the better team and deserved favorites, but this won’t be easy.

2. Los Angeles Chargers
The Chargers are home, taking on the Minnesota Vikings. While Minnesota is 3-5 and a loser of two straight, the Vikings present a unique matchup issue for Los Angeles. The Chargers are one of the worst defenses against the run, meaning Dalvin Cook should have a big day in Minnesota’s run-heavy schemes. Additionally, Los Angeles struggles on special teams, while the Vikings are excellent, shown by their kickoff return for a touchdown last week.
1. Kansas City Chiefs
The Chiefs are favored over the host Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday night, largely because of their reputation. Kansas City is a half-game back of Las Vegas at 5-4, and while the Chiefs are capable of blowing out anybody in football, it’s been a struggle for them all year. If both teams play the way they have in 2021, the Raiders likely win. Â Should go down to the final minutes.
