NFL Week 13 odds: 5 best bets on favorites

Looking for some favorites to place a few bets on? These five are among the best to consider when pondering the NFL Week 13 odds.

5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-11) at Atlanta Falcons

The Buccaneers are trying to cover a large spread on the road, but consider the situation. Tampa Bay and quarterback Tom Brady turned it on this time of year in 2020, and they’re about to do it again with a soft schedule and the NFC’s only bye week hanging in the balance. Meanwhile, the Falcons, despite having very little talent, are 5-6. It’s tough to see Atlanta hanging around in this game with the motivated Buccaneers coming to town.

4. San Francisco 49ers (-3.5) at Seattle Seahawks

The Seahawks are finished. They stink offensively and might even be worse defensively. There’s reason to believe this could be the last season for quarterback Russell Wilson and head coach Pete Carroll in Seattle. Oh, and to add to the fire, the 49ers are coming into Lumen Field on a three-game winning streak and are currently the No. 6 seed in the NFC playoff picture. One team is playing its best ball and has ample reason to play hard. The other is waiting for the season to end.

3. Miami Dolphins (-6) vs. New York Giants

The Giants are going to be without quarterback Daniel Jones this Sunday — among others — so that means Mike Glennon is getting the start. If that sends a chill up your spine, it’s probably because you’re rooting for Big Blue. New York is 4-7 and although technically still in the hunt, it’s hard to see the Giants making a true playoff push. Meanwhile, the Dolphins are 5-7 after winning four straight and have the New York Jets next weekend. They’re rolling.

2. Los Angeles Rams (-13) vs. Jacksonville Jaguars

The Rams are on a three-game losing streak and at this juncture, are desperate. Los Angeles needs to beat the Jaguars, and luckily for the home team, Jacksonville has two wins to its name. Matthew Stafford and Odell Beckham Jr. are both banged up, but Los Angeles should essentially be able to win this game on scheme and defense alone.

1. Philadelphia Eagles (-7) at New York Jets

Why not ride with the Eagles? Jalen Hurts will be under center, and the Jets can’t stop anybody. Also, Philadelphia is coming off a hideous loss to the Giants, and at 5-7 must win this game to stay in a realistic playoff push. Expect the Eagles to come out strong while the Jets come out like, well, the Jets.
