NFL Week 15 games: What to watch for
With only three weeks until the 2020 regular season ends, there’s plenty to watch for around the league in NFL Week 15.
Let’s be honest, it’s all about the playoff picture. The AFC and NFC both have tremendous races both for divisions and wild cards, giving ample games plenty of importance as we head down the stretch.
In the AFC, the most important game to watch is the Miami Dolphins hosting the New England Patriots. While Bill Belichick’s team is in the rare role of spoiler, the Dolphins are 8-5 and desperately trying to make the playoffs in head coach Brian Flores’ second year. A win would set Miami up to have a real chance, although the schedule remains difficult with road games against the Las Vegas Raiders and Buffalo Bills ahead.

Speaking of Buffalo, the Bills can clinch their first AFC East title in 25 years with a win on Saturday afternoon against the Denver Broncos. Drew Lock threw four touchdowns last week and is looking to build on the momentum, but the Bills, who are still alive for the No. 1 seed, are also motivated.
Additionally, keep an eye on two key interconference games.
The weeks’ best tilt is the Kansas City Chiefs visiting the New Orleans Saints. For Kansas City, the game doesn’t hold a ton of meaning. The Chiefs are 12-1 and AFC West champions, sitting on the No. 1 line. Andy Reid’s team could lose this week, beat the Atlanta Falcons and Los Angeles Chargers at home, and earn home-field advantage.
For the Saints, they need to win one more game than the Green Bay Packers down the stretch. However, one more victory clinches the NFC South.

Then there’s the Cleveland Browns and New York Giants at MetLife Stadium on Sunday night. The Giants enter the week a game behind the Washington Football Team, which hosts the Seattle Seahawks. With Washington starting backup quarterback Dwayne Haskins, there’s a good chance New York would jump back to the top of the NFC East with a win over Cleveland.
For the Browns, a victory and some other results could clinch a playoff spot for the first time since 2002. Cleveland doesn’t technically need to win to be in good position, but a loss could make for a very stressful final two weeks on the shores of Lake Erie.
