NFL Week 15 schedule: 5 QBs primed for huge games
The NFL Week 15 schedule is rolling, and these five quarterbacks are good bets to have big statlines come Sunday afternoon.
5. Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills
Allen and the Bills get a Panthers team that is falling apart in every way. Carolina is 2-8 in its last 10 games and is all but finished, while Buffalo knows it might need to win out to make the playoffs. Allen should have an opportunity to throw often with Emmanuel Sanders, Cole Beasley and Stefon Diggs, giving the Bills an opportunity to get up big and extend the lead.
4. Tua Tagovailoa, Miami Dolphins
Tagovailoa hasn’t made the list this year, but he’s playing some of his best football as the Dolphins are on a five-game winning streak. Now, the Dolphins are coming out of the bye week and getting the New York Jets for the second time this season, this time in Miami Gardens. For Tagovailoa, potentially being without star rookie receiver Jaylen Waddle is a bummer, but the Jets have the league’s worst defense and Miami should be able to move the ball constantly.
3. Jimmy Garoppolo, San Francisco 49ers
Garoppolo has a nice matchup at home this weekend with the Atlanta Falcons coming into town. Second-year corner A.J. Terrell has been awesome for the Falcons, but the rest of the secondary is underwhelming. Expect Garoppolo to look for tight end George Kittle and receiver Deebo Samuel plenty as San Francisc tries to solidify its standing as a playoff team. At 7-6, the Niners have an opportunity to make a move in the NFC, and it starts with Garoppolo.
2. Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay Packers
Rodgers should go absolutely nuts against the Baltimore Ravens this weekend. Baltimore ranks 31st in the league against the pass, and the Packers have a star playmaker on the outside in Davante Adams. Rodgers also has running back Aaron Jones to swing the ball to, who can take advantage of linebackers who struggle to match up. Look for Rodgers to drop back often, as the Ravens are struggling without corners Marlon Humphrey and Marcus Peters.
1. Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys
The Cowboys have the privilege of taking on the New York Giants this weekend, who basically decided their season was over about a month ago. Prescott has struggled — relatively speaking — over the past few weeks, but getting to face Big Blue ought to help him break out. Amari Cooper and CeeDee Lamb have a chance to have huge games against New York.
