NFL Week 5: Teams that must win the most

Over a quarter through the season, there are some teams that badly need a win in NFL Week 5. We take a look at 5 under pressure teams in NFL Week 5.

5. Atlanta Falcons

If the Falcons lose on Sunday against the Houston Texans at NRG Stadium, it might spell the end of the line for head coach Dan Quinn. Atlanta almost won a Super Bowl with Quinn in 2016, but the roof has caved in since. The Falcons are now staring at a bunch of empty seats when they play home games, and a ton of Ls when they look at the standings. It’s time to win and get back in the NFC South race or faec a very long season ahead, perhaps without the coach.

4. Los Angeles Chargers

The Chargers won the easiest game in the NFL right now, beating the Miami Dolphins last week. Now, the Chargers come home to take on the also-winless Denver Broncos. Los Angeles is trailing the Kansas City Chiefs by two games in the AFC West and can’t afford to fall back any further. The Broncos could have won two games at home over the past three weeks had things been a touch different, but reality is reality. If the Chargers want to start mounting a run, it’s now.

3. Baltimore Ravens

Baltimore looked really strong over the first two weeks. Of course, it’s easy to look that way when you’re getting the Dolphins and Arizona Cardinals handed to you on a platter. In the last two games, the Ravens have been soundly beaten by the Chiefs and Cleveland Browns, leveling their record at 2-2. Now, the Ravens go on the road to take eon the Pittsburgh Steelers. Should Baltimore lose, Pittsburgh actually jumps over it in the standings. This is a must-win for the Ravens.

2. Minnesota Vikings

Minnesota is also 2-2 and trying to find its footing. The good news? The New York Giants are next on the schedule. Point blank, this has to be a win for Minnesota. The NFC North is really good, the schedule going forward is very tough, and the Vikings are looking at their easiest road game of the year. A loss here would be absolutely crushing.

1. Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles are home to the New York Jets. Enough said? NO? Okay. The Eagles are another one of the 2-2 teams around the league, and find themselves a game back of the Dallas Cowboys in the NFC East. Philadelphia won’t play many games on the slate more winnable than this. New York is without Sam Darold in all likelihood, meaning it’s the Luke Falk Show. If the Eagles are going to be a legit contender, this has to be an easy victory.
