Odell Beckham Jr. trying to get back in the ‘flow’ for things with Rams

Since Odell Beckham Jr. signed with the Los Angeles Rams, the focus has remained on his fit with the franchise.

Beckham joined a team with strong Super Bowl aspirations, placing significant pressure on him to find his spot within the offensive game plan. Days before facing the Green Bay Packers in Week 12 action, the star wideout voiced that he’s getting a stronger understanding of the playbook and finding his groove with the team on the practice field and training facility.

“I’ve definitely felt that I haven’t been in that flow that I would have normally stayed in with a regular schedule,” Beckham said via Pro Football Talk. “So just trying to get back into that, find my way back to where I know I could be.”

The Rams hope that Beckham can fit into the mold smoothly as Robert Woods’ season-ending torn ACL puts more of the onus on him to figure it out. The 28-year-old has struggled to find his footing over the last two seasons, and Los Angeles presents a prime opportunity to prove he can get back to producing like an elite talent.

Beckham holds the chance to garner a significant passing game role behind fellow star wideout Cooper Kupp, who leads the league with 85 receptions for 1,141 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns. He should have a bigger role against the Packers as the Week 11 bye gave him extra time to get comfortable with Sean McVay’s playbook.

If Beckham hopes to compete for a Super Bowl in Los Angeles, he needs to become a significant offensive factor.
