Packers among rumored teams with interest in JJ Watt
Since 2011, he spent his entire career with the Houston Texans. Superstar JJ Watt asked the team to release him this past week and got his wish. As a result Watt is now a free agent with a lot of interest in his services around the league.
According to Packer Central, the Green Bay Packers are among the many teams that have expressed interest in signing Watt now that he’s on the open market.
There’s a lot of work to be done financially but the Green Bay Packers are one of the teams interested in signing former Houston Texans All-Pro JJ Watt.
It seems as though every Super Bowl title contender ahead of the 2021 season is interested in bringing in Watt. That’s not all that surprising considering what he can bring to the table both on and off the field.

The Packers will have some stiff competition to sign Watt during the NFL offseason. The Pittsburgh Steelers are potentially the biggest threat due to his brother, T.J. Watt, being the leader of the team’s defense.

It’ll be interesting to see how things pan out in the Watt sweepstakes and how long it will take for him to make his decision in free agency. More teams are bound to emerge as Watt’s potential destinations as things progress in the weeks and months ahead.

JJ Watt has racked up 101.0 sacks in his career and could have a lot more football left in him if he’s not asked to shoulder the load as the leader of the defense on his next team.
