The team’s Twitter account sent out a tweet saying McCaffrey had been ruled out along with a link to a post on their website saying the same thing. They took both the tweet and the post down a short time later and replaced them with ones saying that McCaffrey is expected to miss the game.
The Panthers have continued to take the precautionary route with their star running back. He had previously missed five weeks due to a leg injury. McCaffrey returned to action against the Kansas City Chiefs. Against them, he had 69 rushing yards with a touchdown along with 10 catches for 82 receiving yards and a touchdown.

However, he suffered the shoulder injury late in the fourth quarter of the contest. Christian McCaffrey is now out of the mix for Week 11. As a result, the team will likely turn to Mike Davis to hold down the starting spot. Davis previously served as the primary back, where he proved to be a stable option.
He put forth north of 45 rushing yards in five out of the last six games before McCaffrey’s return. His production will be critical, with Teddy Bridgewater likely being limited with a leg injury.
