Patriots’ Mike Vrabel gives interesting response to AJ Brown trade rumors
The trade speculation surrounding Philadelphia Eagles superstar AJ Brown continues to be a hot topic of discussion in the NFL, with some linking the talented wide receiver to a reunion with New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel.
When recently asked about the constant speculation linking Brown to the Eagles, Vrabel didn’t rule out a trade with New England coming to fruition, via ESPN.
“We’ve talked about this since last January. We’re going to try to do everything we can to strengthen our roster through the draft, through free agency, multiple ways of player acquisition,” Vrabel said at the NFL’s annual meeting.
“So anything that we can continue to do to strengthen the roster, we’re going to try to do.”
Vrabel also addressed the need for the team to replace Stefon Diggs’ production on the field, as the team recently parted ways with the veteran star.

At this point in time, there’s no telling what will happen with Brown, and if the Eagles choose to trade him elsewhere, but there definitely seems to be some validity to the rumors of the Patriots exploring the possibility of trading for the 28-year-old, who is without a doubt one of the best players in the NFL at the wide receiver position.
It’ll be interesting to see where things go from here and if a deal potentially gets done before the 2026 NFL Draft on April 23.
