Raiders, Redskins, and Titans express the ‘most interest’ in trading for Antonio Brown
As things begin to hit around the league heading into the offseason, the same started with the trade talk around Pittsburgh Steelers star wide receiver Antonio Brown.
Steelers general manager Kevin Colbert had recently indicated that three teams had contacted him about acquiring Brown. According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, those three teams included the Washington Redskins, Tennessee Titans and Oakland Raiders.
The three teams that have shown the most interest in wide receiver Antonio Brown to date are the Oakland Raiders, Washington Redskins and Tennessee Titans, league sources told ESPN.
The batch of teams that are vying for Brown’s service is intriguing as Raiders head coach Jon Gruden has recently stated that his team is interested in adding proven talent to the mix, but also voiced that he understands it comes with a certain price tag.
Brown is one of the league’s premier wide receivers that is a game-changing talent that could immediately make a tremendous impact in the passing game in Oakland. However, it will draw a significant trade offer to land him with the Raiders.
The fact that Oakland has expressed interest shows this offseason could see plenty of change after a disappointing 2018 season that saw them stumble in the first campaign under Gruden.
This offseason is a chance for them to formulate a team under him that is more to his preference, and adding Antonio Brown could be a part of those plans. Only time will tell if that will be the case for the Raiders in the coming weeks.
