Rams Give Uncertain Puka Nacua Update Ahead of Week 3
Following the Los Angeles Rams’ convincing win over the New York Giants on Monday night, the focus shifts to star wide receiver Puka Nacua’s availability for Week 3 action against the Denver Broncos.
Head coach Sean McVay stated during Tuesday’s media session that he’s unsure if Nacua will play on Sunday night in Denver.
“I’m hopeful that he’ll play,” McVay said, via Gary Klein of the L.A. Times. “If he’s ready to go, great. If not, then we’ll continue to roll.”
Nacua was added to the team’s injury report last Friday with a hip injury, which McVay signaled was due to some soreness in his groin. It is an ailment unrelated to the psoas injury that caused him to sit out part of training camp.
The Rams then ruled him out of Monday’s game against the Giants a few hours before kickoff.
In his absence, Los Angeles more than managed to produce offensively as fellow star wideout Davante Adams stepped up with eight catches on 10 targets for 195 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Quarterback Matthew Stafford spread the ball around in the passing game to eight different targets, fueling his strong outing, where he completed 22 of 31 passes for 327 yards with four touchdowns, one interception, and a 131.3 passer rating.
The Broncos pose a much more difficult challenge for the Rams, behind their stout defense, which is coming off a solid performance in the Week 2 home win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, limiting Trevor Lawrence to 173 passing yards and forcing an interception.
