Rams star Cooper Kupp feels good head toward 2023 NFL season
One of the biggest storylines around the Rams ahead of the 2023 season concerns star WR Cooper Kupp’s health.
The former Super Bowl MVP is working his way back from ankle surgery that prematurely ended last campaign. Kupp continues to progress toward his return as he’s expected to be ready to go for the start of the upcoming season.

The All-Pro wideout made his return to a full team practice for the first time since the surgery. Kupp has moved forward in his rehab, participating in position drills such as running routes, sprinting around cones and pushing a sled.
He has kept his eyes focused on his recovery with the hope that he can swiftly return to the field.

“Playing football, you can’t simulate this stuff. So I don’t know if we’ll really know,” Kupp said via ESPN. “I feel right now we’ve been pushing it pretty hard. I feel like I’m asking for more, wanting to do more and feeling like you’re getting held back versus feeling like they’re pushing you to do more. We’re in a good place now where I feel like I want to get out there and play.”
The Rams will lean on Kupp as a primary factor in the passing game behind his strong connection with quarterback Matthew Stafford. When healthy, he’s one of the game’s top wide receivers.
If Los Angeles hopes to compete for the playoffs, Kupp will need to be a significant part of the equation.
