Ravens’ Lamar Jackson’s Season Takes Devastating Turn

It has been a rough season for superstar quarterback Lamar Jackson, who has really struggled to stay healthy and on the field for the Baltimore Ravens.

After missing three straight games due to a high ankle sprain, Jackson was finally able to get back on the field in Week 8 against the Buffalo Bills.

Unfortunately for the two-time NFL MVP, the return to the field was short-lived, as he suffered a thumb injury on the first play of the game and didn’t return.

Now, Jackson will undergo surgery on his right thumb and could miss the rest of the 2026 NFL season, via ESPN.

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson will undergo surgery on his injured right thumb and will be placed on injured reserve, coach Jesse Minter said after a 36-10 loss to the Buffalo Bills.

Asked if this was a season-ending injury, Minter replied, “Potentially, but we’ll see where it’s at.”

The Ravens will now have to turn to backup Tyler Huntley once again, who could be under center for the rest of the 2026 campaign.

It may turn out to be a lost season for the Ravens, who now sit at the bottom of a very competitive AFC North division with a record of 4-4.
