Ravens sign WR Rashod Bateman to three-year deal

The Baltimore Ravens are coming off one of their best seasons in recent memory, with an offense that was arguably the best in the NFL, led by superstar quarterback Lamar Jackson and veteran running back Derrick Henry.

In an effort to keep this potent offense firing on all cylinders, the Ravens have secured the future of one of Jackson’s favorite targets in the passing game. Baltimore has signed wideout Rashod Bateman to a three-year deal, according to Jamison Hensley of ESPN.

Lamar Jackson will have his top big-play wide receiver for the foreseeable future, as the Baltimore Ravens announced Thursday that they had signed Rashod Bateman to an extension.

Bateman’s deal is for three years, $36.75 million and includes $20 million guaranteed, a source told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Although the Ravens’ 2024 campaign didn’t end the way they wanted it to with an earlier-than-expected playoff exit, Baltimore is still considered to be one of the best all-around teams in the league with a legitimate chance of competing for a Super Bowl title during the 2025 NFL season.

That said, the Ravens securing the long-term future of Bateman is a step in the right direction. During the 2024 campaign, Bateman caught 45 passes for 756 receiving yards and nine touchdowns. In the postseason, Bateman added two more touchdowns to his total.

Along with Bateman being a happy man coming into next season, the Ravens will have young wide receiver Zay Flowers back in the fold, making the passing game that much more dynamic right out of the gate.
