Sauce Gardner gushes over spending time with Jets QB Aaron Rodgers
Nearly two weeks ago, the New York Jets officially traded for star quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
Since Rodgers’ arrival in New York, he has quickly left a strong impression on his new teammates. It has left many of them starstruck to play with him for the 2023 season.

“This is something 20 years from now, 30 years from now, I’ll tell my kids: ‘I played with Aaron Rodgers,” wide receiver Garrett Wilson said via ESPN.
Cornerback Sauce Gardner has made the most of spending time with Rodgers, going to a pair of New York Knicks’ home playoff games since the four-time NFL MVP showed up in New York.
“Everybody knew who he was,” Gardner said. “I was able to be in his shadow a little bit. It was a great feeling.”
There is a renewed buzz around the Jets that has been primarily fueled by Rodgers. New York is hoping the excitement translates to the team experiencing success this upcoming season. The 39-year-old holds the franchise’s fate in his hands as the offensive focal point.
Rodgers has voiced nothing but excitement about the next chapter of his NFL career. Although he hasn’t expressed any clarity concerning his future beyond the 2023 campaign, he’s more than geared to make the most of the opportunity ahead.
