Steelers won’t be trading Antonio Brown to Patriots or any AFC North team

The Pittsburgh Steelers are now on the clock with superstar wide receiver Antonio Brown. In recent weeks Brown has expressed his interest to be traded by the storied NFL franchise. Brown has had enough and wants out, putting the pressure on the Steelers to find the right deal. The franchise will have to get value in return for the perennial Pro Bowler.

As the Steelers try to find a solution for this situation in Pittsburgh, one thing is for certain. They won’t be trading the veteran wideout to the New England Patriots nor any team in the AFC North division, according to Jason La Canfora.

The team’s insistence on not trading Brown within the division or to the defending Super Bowl champions makes perfect sense. However, it remains uncertain where they might ultimately find a deal for the superstar.

Although Brown is arguably the best player at his position in the NFL, the veteran is now over 30 and has been quite a handful as of late which may make some teams hesitate or simply not show interest at all in trading for the wideout. The San Francisco 49ers have been rumored as a potential destination pairing Brown with quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, but it remains to be seen if a deal can get done or if the team is truly interested in making a trade with the Steelers.

It’ll be interesting to see how this situation in Pittsburgh develops and whether the team wants to get this done quickly or take their time to get the best deal possible.
