Texans at Jets on Monday Night Football
The Houston Texans, one of only two unbeaten teams left in the NFL, will travel to the Big Apple on Monday night to take on the reeling New York Jets. The Texans have beaten Miami, Jacksonville, Denver and Tennessee, all of them handily. The Texans are led by quarterback Matt Shaub who has nearly 1000 yards passing so far, running back Arian Foster who has 380 yards rushing and four touchdowns, and wide receiver Andre Johnson who has 268 yards and two touchdowns.
The Jets are in a tailspin, coming off a 38-0 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. After a preseason in which the Jets scored only one touchdown and rocky offensive start to the regular season, many, including former NFL head coach Jimmy Johnson of FOX NFL Sunday, feel it’s time to give Tim Tebow a shot at starting quarterback.
The Jets have lost their best cornerback Darrelle Revis for the season and also their best wide receiver Santonio Holmes for the season due to injuries. The wheels may be coming off the Jets wagon. The Jets do have two wins in their four games, so it is not too late to salvage this season, but they need to do something tonight.
BetOnline has the Texans -9 +100 or -400. The Jets are +9 -120 or +330. Over/under is 40 for the game, 24 for the Texans and 14.5 for the Jets. We like the under on the Jets, the Texans -9 and the under on the game.
