Titans continue to be linked to Jadeveon Clowney
Since the start of free agency, Jadeveon Clowney has continued to float out in the free-agent market.
Clowney has remained without a team, but the Tennessee Titans have been circled as one franchise that is highly interested in landing the Pro Bowler. With the 2020 NFL draft now passed, general manager Jon Robinson has voiced that there is “nothing imminent” in terms of working out a deal with Clowney. (H/T Charean Williams of Pro Football Talk)

“Like I’ve said numerous times now there are several guys who are still free agents who are out there, that we’ve had discussions with,” Robinson said on the radio, via Paul Kuharsky of paulkuharsky.com. “I would again echo what I’ve said: There is nothing imminent. We’ve had those talks. I don’t think — that’s not coming in at any point this afternoon.
“But we’ll continue to take stock of where the roster is at and work through things and if something manifests itself, and we can figure it out with somebody that is a free agent now, and we think it helps our football team then we’ll certainly entertain it.”

The two sides may not be close to a deal, but it’s clear that there is some steady mutual interest between them. There is also no rush to get Clowney under contract, given that the NFL still doesn’t have a timeline of when everything will be back on schedule due to concerns over the coronavirus.
Ultimately, it’s a situation that the Titans will keep an eye to see if his price tag can fall within their financial budget.
