Titans RB Derrick Henry is hoping Texans trade Deshaun Watson
The Houston Texans are in a tight spot as a result of a disappointing season. The turmoil and uncertainty surrounding the team’s immediate future has reached breaking point. Star quarterback Deshaun Watson is at the center of it all as he wants out of the organization.
On Friday, new Texans head coach David Culley made some interesting comments. Cully claimed that Deshaun Watson was there to stay, one day after he publicly demanded to be traded. Tennessee Titans superstar Derrick Henry hopes Watson sticks by his trade demand to relieve some of the pressure on his team in the AFC South, via the Tennesseean.

“That would be better for us,” Henry said. “Every year we play them it’s always tough and always comes down to the wire. That’s the kind of player Deshaun is. I know Deshaun, so I wish the best for whatever happens for him, but like I said, that’s better for us that he’s out of the division. We definitely appreciate it.”
The Titans have been the best team in the AFC South for the past couple of seasons. Derrick Henry emerged as an elite running back and perhaps an all-time great player in NFL history.

Despite that fact, the Texans have always been able to hang around with Watson under center. The three-time Pro Bowler has been solid for Houston ever since he arrived and if he was traded it would mark the beginning of a rebuilding process that would surely secure Tennessee’s status as the team to beat in the division.
Time will only tell how things pan out in Houston and whether this franchise in the city can move its star player as fast as the Houston Rockets traded James Harden to the Brooklyn Nets.
