Tom Brady has no intention of returning to play for the Raiders

Since stepping into retirement, speculation remains around former star quarterback Tom Brady making a comeback.

Tom Brady hasn’t fueled the notion with his actions. However, his unwavering passion for the game has kept that scenario afloat. However, the seven-time Super Bowl champion reiterated once again that he has no intention of resuming his NFL career.

“I’m certain I’m not playing again, so I’ve tried to make that clear and I hate to continue to profess that, cause I’ve already told people that lots of times,” Brady told Sports Illustrated in response to a question about fans and media who continue to come up with scenarios where he might return to the field.

Although Brady hasn’t moved toward a comeback, he’s remained connected to the game. He’s inching his way toward a minority ownership of the Las Vegas Raiders. Meanwhile next year, he’s expected to begin his broadcast booth career with Fox Sports.

It hasn’t been Brady’s actions that have fueled the comeback speculations, but more so the happenings around the league. The Raiders are engulfed in an uncertain situation with quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo’s foot surgery that has put a question mark on his availability this offseason.

All that has led to chatter that Brady could step in if he desired to play a 24th season. There is also lingering doubt surrounding Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa due to his recent history with concussions that could put his NFL career in jeopardy.

Despite all that, Brady appears to be finally content with stepping into retirement.
