Tom Brady makes it official that he’s signing with the Bucs
After winning six Super Bowl titles and spending his entire NFL career being coached by Bill Belichick on the New England Patriots, superstar quarterback Tom Brady has decided to head elsewhere. The future Hall of Famer has officially signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Although it has been known that Brady intended to sign with the Bucs for the majority of the week, he had yet to make it official publicly until Friday. The three-time NFL MVP took to Instagram to post a picture of him signing his two-year contract which is said to be worth $30 million per season with incentives that could pay him even more than that enormous annual salary.
“Excited, humble and hungry,†Brady wrote on Instagram. “If there is one thing I have learned about football, it’s that nobody cares what you did last year or the year before that. You earn the trust and respect of those around through your commitment every single day. I’m starting a new football journey and thankful for the Buccaneers for giving me an opportunity to do what I love to do. I look forward to meeting all my new teammates and coaches and proving to them that they can believe and trust in me. I have always believed that well done is better than well said, so I’m gonna not gonna say much more – I’m just gonna get to work!â€
Joining the Bucs will mark a drastic change for the superstar quarterback. Tampa Bay has struggled for years with Jameis Winston under center but saw things turning for the best last year under head coach Bruce Arians.
Along with having a solid coach in Arians, Brady will be armed with two of the best wide receivers in the NFL. Mike Evans and Chris Godwin make arguably the best receiving duo in the league and will have Brady excited to have something he has never had with the Patriots.
