Tom Brady to have ‘long relationship’ with FOX Sports

As the Las Vegas Raiders move through the interview process to find their next head coach, part owner Tom Brady’s involvement has come under increased scrutiny.

Brady’s dual role as a part owner and an NFL broadcast analyst for Fox Sports has been questioned due to a potential conflict of interest. However, the former star quarterback has moved forward in both positions despite the lingering concerns.

Brady’s agent, Don Yee, told the Sports Business Journal that his client plans to go through the duration of his 10-year, $375 million contract with Fox.

“Tom has had a tremendous amount of fun working with Fox this year, and he’s really excited about the future with Fox and his growth on their team,” Yee said via ESPN. “And this year was the first year of a long relationship.”

It has become no secret that Brady has become increasingly involved in the Raiders’ head coach search. Majority team owner Mark Davis has leaned on the future first-ballot Hall of Famer for guidance toward finding the next head coach.

Las Vegas has met with Vance Joseph and Robert Saleh. Meanwhile, Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson appears to be the candidate the Raiders and Brady want to land.

The Raiders are also in the market to find a new general manager after firing Tom Telesco after one season. The team has requested an interview with New York Giants assistant general manager Brandon Brown and Los Angeles Chargers assistant general manager Chad Alexander.

The franchise will likely pair the next hirings at both positions to garner a linked, stable path forward.
