Tom Coughlin non-committal about returning to Jags next season
Jacksonville Jaguars executive Tom Coughlin might have won the battle of egos with recently traded star cornerback Jalen Ramsey. In no way does that mean the former head coach is in Duval for the long haul.
Tom Coughlin held an impromptu press conference at the team’s facility on Wednesday. The reasoning is not yet known.
However, Tom Coughlin was asked directly whether he plans on returning next season. The Super Bowl winner ignored the question, simply indicating that there are five more games left in the season.

The whole presser itself was pretty odd. Coughlin did not announce anything. He read from a statement and then answered some questions.
Jacksonville’s head coach from 1995-2002, Coughlin returned to the team as EVP of Football Operations back in 2017 after spending 12 seasons as the New York Giants’ head coach.
After a stunning run to the AFC Championship Game in 2017, things have not gone too swimmingly for the Jags. Including a 4-7 mark this year, Jacksonville has won just nine of 27 games dating back to the start of the 2018 campaign.
