Veteran WR Nelson Agholor agrees to re-sign with Ravens
Before the offseason gets underway, the Baltimore Ravens secured one of their offensive pieces.
Veteran wide receiver Nelson Agholor has inked a one-year extension to remain in Baltimore. His contract would have voided on Monday at 4 p.m. ET and resulted in $1.668 million in dead money against the Ravens’ salary cap.
Agholor is coming off posting 35 receptions for 381 receiving yards and four touchdowns. The 30-year-old was a reliable factor in the Ravens’ revamped passing game.

His return maintains stability among the wide receiver group with Odell Beckham Jr. being the lone player from that group set to free agency.
Baltimore will likely make a significant push to retain Beckham Jr. due to his presence and game-changing ability despite his injury struggles and decreased production.
Beckham Jr. will likely garner interest around the league, but that may be a sizable step down from the one-year $15 million deal that played under this past season.
Baltimore is coming off finishing with the league’s best record behind star quarterback Lamar Jackson earning his second MVP award. However, the Ravens stumbled in the playoffs again, falling in the AFC Championship Game against the eventual Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs.

Baltimore possesses one of the league’s top defenses while Jackson has cemented himself further as one of the NFL’s best players. The Ravens need their star quarterback to make the next leap with his play in the playoffs.
The Ravens will likely add more offensive talent in the offseason to help make another Super Bowl push.
