NHL Sunday February 24, 2013 Preview
Are you getting pumped for a big day in the NHL? Well take a minuet to check out some previews for a few of the marquee hockey games of the day.
Vancouver Canucks versus Detroit Redwings
This is the first meeting between these two teams this season. The Redwings are clinging to a playoff run despite a rough patch that saw them lose five games in a row. The Redwings are also missing a lot of players out to injury. Ryan Kesler and David Booth have recently returned, and they are attempting to surge forward and sneak up on the Anaheim Ducks and Chicago Blackhawks. Standing in their way at the moment is a very solid Vancouver Canucks team that is sitting at 10-3-4.
The Canucks are favored and the money line to bet on them is at -150. To bet on the Redwings are at +130.
Tampa Bay Lightning versus Pittsburgh Penguins
The Penguin are not playing with a healthy team. They will be without NHL MVP Evgeni Malking. Tampa Bay have no injuries worth noting and are going into this game with the benefit of having all their key players on the ice. If the Lightning are going to upset the Penguins now is the time to do it.
The Penguins are favored in this game. The money line to bet on them is at -190. The Lightnings money line is at +165.
Columbus Blue Jackets versus Chicago Blackhawks
Any game with the Blackhawks, who are off to one of the best starts in NHL history while breaking records, is worth watching. In all honesty, the Blue Jackets at 3-6-1 do not stand much of a chance of derailing the Blackhawks, esspecially since the Blackhawks are playing at home, but they are going to take a run at them anyway.
To bet on the Blackhawks, the money line is at -290. The money line for the Blue Jackets is +245.
