Nick Bosa is sidelined with a hamstring injury. And the San Francisco 49ers probably won’t see much of the No. 2 pick in the draft until training camp.
Adam Schefter of ESPN reported on Thursday that Bosa will be out “a few weeks.â€
49ers’ first-round pick Nick Bosa has a grade-1 hamstring strain that will sideline him a few weeks, or likely to training camp.

This is a setback for the 49ers. Nobody wants to see players (especially key players) hurt during this time of the year. It’s especially the case with rookies who are getting acclimated on new teams.
While an injury never happens at a good time, Bosa has been a bit snake-bitten over the last year. In what was expected to be Bosa’s true breakout season, the defensive end suffered a core muscle injury just after halftime in the Buckeyes’ Week 3 win against the Horned Frogs.
Initially, the thought was Bosa would return for the Scarlet and Gray and finish his junior year but after talking with medical professionals, Bosa and his family elected to pull the player out of school and move him to Los Angeles to prepare for the NFL Draft.
Injuries to rookies during minicamp or OTAs are not uncommon as the players spent the last few months preparing for the NFL Combine, not working on football activities.
Yet the perception of Bosa will be that he’s injury prone considering his core muscle injury with the Buckeyes last year.
