Patrick Mahomes Excited by the Return of Tyreek Hill

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes says the impending return of wide receiver Tyreek Hill will enhance the team.

Tyreek Hill has missed three games after dislocating his collarbone against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 1.

Head coach Andy Reid confirmed on Wednesday that Tyreek Hill along with RB Damien Williams returned to training on Wednesday.

Patrick Mahomes doesn’t think that Hill will take long to reacclimatise.

“I don’t think it will take long at all,” Patrick Mahomes said.

“We’ve worked all offseason, working in training camp and everything like that and then having the guys around us, we just kind of rotate guys through and get guys reps. I think just having him out there and being able to pick back up where we left off will be something that will be easy to do.”

“He obviously can take a little shovel pass and take it to the house,” Mahomes continued.

“We have a lot of guys like that, but he’s a guy that defenses have to game plan for. Defenses have to account for him with maybe one or two guys to try to figure out a way to stop him, which helps everybody else out, so when he gets back, we’ll be able to utilize him and these other guys to really expand our offense and take it to another level.”

However, Andy Reid didn’t specify whether Hill and Williams will be ready to play straight away. It remains to be seen whether or not they’ll be in contention to play the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday.

The Kansas City Chiefs are 4 – 0, and first in the AFC West. They will continue their likely march to the Super Bowl this Sunday against the 2 – 2 Colts.
