Patriots early betting favorites over Rams in Super Bowl LIII

Super Bowl LIII is still two weeks away, but as of now, the oddsmakers believe the New England Patriots have the edge over the Los Angeles Rams.

There will be no home-field advantage for either team and the elements will have no impact with the game being played at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, making this the perfect neutral-field matchup.

At Bovada, the Rams are two-point underdogs against the Patriots, though that line is likely to move between now and Feb. 3. At BetOnline, the Rams actually opened as one-point favorites before it moved in the Patriots’ direction fairly quickly.

The over/under is set at 58.5 at Bovada, which is the highest total in Super Bowl history. The previous high was 57 points set by the Patriots and Falcons in Super Bowl LI two years ago.

The Rams have only been underdogs once this season and that was on Sunday against the Saints when New Orleans was favored by three points.

Los Angeles is used to being the favorite, but being the underdog against New England probably won’t hurt morale.
