A month ago, the Oakland Raiders were considered a legitimate playoff contender in the AFC. Oakland was a young team on the rise with a bright future ahead with a dominant offense led by up-and-coming quarterback Derek Carr.

Coming into Week 12 against the Tennessee Titans, the narrative has changed for the Raiders with the team losing three games in a row after sporting a winning 4-3 record. The once-potent offense has struggled while the defense continues to be the team’s fatal flaw.

Despite the three straight losses, Oakland can still make a push for the playoffs. The two AFC Wild Card spots are up for grabs and a win in Week 12 could get them back on the right track.

According to Sportsbook.ag, the Raiders are favored to come out on top on Sunday against the Tennessee Titans on the road. Although the Titans are arguably one of the worst teams in the league at this point, the Raiders are only favored by -2 in Tennessee.

Although the Raiders have seemingly turned things around or at least paved the way for a bright future with Carr under center, the Titans have struggled this season with rookie quarterback Marcus Mariota. Tennessee has only won two games on the year thus far with victories over Jamies Winston’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 1 and the New Orleans Saints back on Nov. 8.

This matchup with the lowly Titans will be a real test for Jack Del Rio’s Raiders. A may keep them in the hunt for a playoff spot, but a loss would likely end their hopes of being postseason bound.
