Martavis Bryant has been suspended by the NFL since December due to yet another violation of the league’s substance abuse policy and now he’s trying to make a return.
Bryant told Dan Graziano of ESPN that he is planning to apply for reinstatement in the coming weeks.
Suspended former Steelers/Raiders WR Martavis Bryant told me he’s planning to apply for reinstatement in the coming weeks. Bryant has been arguing with the league that its drug program is not set up to offer players access to proper treatment for mental health issues.

Additionally, Graziano shared that Bryant “has been arguing with the league that its drug program is not set up to offer players access to proper treatment for mental health issues.â€
Bryant has been suspended by the NFL multiple times, and the latest was an indefinite ban.
Each of his suspensions has stemmed from positive tests for marijuana — a substance the league is looking into potentially removing from its banned substances list.
Originally a fourth-round pick in the 2014 NFL Draft out of Clemson, Bryant spent his first four seasons in Pittsburgh — missing the entire 2016 season on suspension.
Last season, he was traded to Oakland for a third-round pick. Playing in eight games, he caught just 19 passes for 266 yards.
