Rangers Open As Stanley Cup Favorites

The New York Rangers have opened as the favorites in the NHL Stanley Cup odds.

With the playoff pictures finally set it in stone, and kicking off this Wednesday, the Stanley Cup future odds have opened up with the reduced field.

The Rangers opened with 11/2 odds over at Bovada and are at the top of the Stanley Cup odds all other betting websites monitored.

The Chicago Blackhawks, who were the favorites in the future odds for the majority of the season, now sit behind the Rangers with 8/1 odds. The St. Louis Blues also have 8/1 odds.

Three teams follow the Blues, all tied with 9/1 odds, the Anaheim Ducks, Minnesota Wild and Montreal Canadiens.

After the 9/1 odds from Anaheim, Minnesota and Montreal, the odds leave single-digits.

The Winnipeg Jets offer the most potential award but also the most risk. For risky bettors, the Washington Capitals and New York Islanders may be safer choices, as they are more solid teams who still have value.
